Create Research Log

moglo.pngThose of us in science can (and should be) a rather anal lot. I like things to work when I have to get something completed, but I also like to muck around the internals when it is required. A tool must fit into my flow of work unobtrusively and yield some value for my effort. After experimenting with various blogging sites and building my own, I have found a home. A comfortable home that I enjoy being in. One that works the way I want it to.

If you are looking to build a research log (maybe we should circumvent the term 'rlog'), I highly recommend that you give mosaicglobe a try. Use the free trial, then upgrade if you make good use of it. Go ahead, create a public research log and keep science in the open. Irreproducible results are worthless.

Trying to shill particular products is not worth my time. If you are efficient and work well on a Mac, Windows, Linux, Sinclair box, then I'm not going to push my favorite on you. This is a different case because I am fairly positive that whatever site building system you are currently using--well, quite frankly--sucks. So, go ahead, give it a try. I'm not getting anything from you trying.
